At a glance

What HCSS Equipment360 does

Equipment360 is HCSS’s deep shop-management product. An inspection can create repair work, a mechanic receives it on an iPad, time and parts accumulate on the work order, and the fleet manager sees maintenance history and cost against the asset.

It should not be confused with HCSS Fleet Maintenance, a lighter product for small and midsize fleets. E360 is current and actively sold, but its full value assumes a staffed maintenance operation willing to maintain parts, meter, PM, labor, and accounting data.

What stands out, and what to pin down

What stands out on paper

  • Runs detailed shop operations rather than only tracking maintenance reminders
  • Deep connection to HCSS HeavyJob and the wider HCSS data model
  • 24/7/365 human support and guided implementation

Questions for the vendor

  • HCSS positions Equipment360 for full shops and 50-plus heavy assets; smaller fleets should compare its lighter Fleet Maintenance product
  • The mechanic application is iPad-focused rather than a generic Android fleet app
  • Parts catalogs, PM rules, meters, and historical costs require substantial data cleanup and ownership
